The Prospector’s Room
Gold was on the top of most minds in the 1880’s and this room is named for the many miners hoping to strike it rich in Bodie as well as the 24-carat colored damask wallpaper. Originally built as a boarding house with shared baths the hotel was remodeled in the 1960’s to give each room a private bathroom, this room is one of the few with a vintage in room sink. The cozy 2-piece bath has a stand-up shower and whitewashed peaky cedar boards that were original to the property. The original wood floors have been restored and you can still see where some of the old walls once stood. With one Queen and one twin bed The Prospector’s Room sleeps three comfortably and the window AC or wall heater assist with temperature control. Located in the front of the building overlooking the historic Mono County courthouse with a view of town and the Saw Tooth range there is plenty to see and do in Bridgeport.
Room 1 has 1 Queen + 1 Twin bed. You can also book the adjoining Bunkhouse Room for additional twin beds!
